Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) copy quarterbound in black morocco-grained leather and papier tourniquet over boards (as described by Wolfe in Marbled papers). The front free endpaper contains a lengthy presentation inscription addressed to Benjamin Way, Esq., dated London, 21 January 1774. An ink inscription at the head of the same page reads, "Mitford, 1840; with ms notes by the author." An ink stamp, also at the head of the same page, reads, "Bibliotheca Heberiana." [Library of Richard Heber] There are numerous manuscript notes and other instances of marginalia throughout, presumably all (or primarily) in the hand of the author, as well as a printed dealer's description tipped in at the front. The armorial bookplate of the Barton library is present on the front pastedown, and the perforation stamp of the Boston Public Library is present on the title page
